Protecting your health so you can keep making a difference

Restore your capacity to adapt and recover from prolonged stress, with an Ayurvedic practice designed especially for humanitarian and emergency professionals.

Care for prolonged stress and its effects

My practice is dedicated in particular to humanitarian and emergency professionals whose work continually places the body’s adaptive capacities under strain.

These environments can contribute to chronic stress, burnout and other imbalances when the body’s regulatory and recovery mechanisms are repeatedly challenged over time. Depending on your situation, Ayurveda can help you recover after a difficult period, prepare for an especially demanding phase, or maintain your health when high levels of pressure are part of everyday life. Every consultation is tailored to your individual circumstances.

How this approach works

Prolonged stress affects far more than energy levels. It can disturb digestion, sleep, concentration and emotional stability. Ayurveda understands these manifestations as interconnected expressions of the same underlying imbalance rather than separate problems to address individually. The aim is to identify the factors that are maintaining this imbalance—nutrition, daily routines, environment and habits—and gradually remove what is preventing your body from recovering naturally.

Depending on your situation, support may combine guidance on nutrition, traditional herbs, lifestyle changes, restorative practices, or traditional bodywork.

Ayurveda concerns itself with health, and does not require adherence to any belief system. Clients’ cultural background and spiritual beliefs are respected without interference.

About

La praticienne masse le dos d'un client

My interest in supporting humanitarian workers and emergency responders comes from my own experience within these environments. Having personally experienced the demands and effects of prolonged exposure to these contexts, I understand both the practicalities of this way of life and the impact it can have on the body’s balance and ability to recover.

After more than 2,000 hours of training in Ayurveda, complemented by in-depth study of the physiology of chronic stress and burnout, I continue to study regularly with teachers in India. I practice Ayurveda in a pragmatic and rigorous way, while adapting this tradition to contemporary life.

This practice also informs ongoing research, writing and knowledge sharing around Ayurveda.

Questions you may have

That’s exactly the purpose of the first consultation. You don’t need a clear plan. Ayurveda is also educational: I help you understand how you function so that priorities become clearer. We start from your current situation and define the next steps together.

It is not necessary to wait until profound exhaustion occurs before seeking support. High-pressure environments, irregular schedules, frequent travel or prolonged exposure to difficult situations can place the body and mind in a state of constant strain.

Ayurvedic support is also intended for people who wish to understand and address the imbalances that arise in this context — fatigue, disrupted sleep, digestive issues, difficulty recovering or emotional overload — to preserve their health in the long term.

No. The aim of Ayurvedic support is not to ask you to radically transform your daily life, but to identify adjustments that can genuinely support your health within your current life circumstances.

Ayurveda offers a personalised approach: recommendations are adapted to your rhythm, your professional constraints, your environment and your current capacity. In demanding contexts such as humanitarian missions, emergency work or periods of intense workload, the challenge is often to find simple, realistic and sustainable changes rather than aiming for an ideal lifestyle that is difficult to maintain.

Ayurveda is a complementary approach. It can be integrated with existing medical or therapeutic care. My role is to support your overall balance, in alignment with what you have already put in place.

Skepticism is healthy. You’re welcome to come with questions, doubts, or simple curiosity. Ayurveda is not a belief system to adopt, but a framework you can explore and make your own.

I believe that a therapeutic relationship is first and foremost a human relationship.

While any practice needs to remain economically sustainable, care cannot be reduced to a simple financial transaction. ReViva therefore seeks to create space for trust, reciprocity and different ways of supporting what we build together.
